I just want everybody to know this in 2025: if you are using a universal remote with the Sansui DTV2798 CRT then program your remote using the Orion TV IR code 0371. In my case.. using any Sansui IR code did not allow me to access the service menu. Set volume to zero, press “Volume Down” button on the TV and the “9” button on the remote simultaneously for a couple seconds using the Orion IR code and it should work! I’m using a $10 GE universal remote from Walmart
